    I'll explain about ferns.

    Bruce's optical thingie (I obviously can't remember the name of it now)
    that converts the images of Cash Box pages to text inexplicably renders
    "fems" as "ferns." So women = fems in Cash Box-speak = ferns.

    But curling up and waiting for rain sounds like a good plan for tonight.
