Schoolmates Ivan Vaughan, Paul McCartney and George Harrison

Ivan and Paul shared the same birthday and it was Ivan who introduced Paul to John Lennon, and therefore got Paul into John's group, The Quarry Men

Paul later introduced John to George, which then got George into the band

Paul and George were the first of any of The Beatles to know each other and to become friends
