  • John Calling Paul "Smarmy"

    John gave some interview, post-Beatles if I recall, in which he called Paul "smarmy." It really hit a nerve.

    What I'm trying to remember is the context, or better yet the specific interview. Was he talking to Hunter Davies? It came up in one of he early post-breakup biographies of the band.
