• If John Was Alive Tofay...

For better or worse, John was often outspoken on political issues.

If he were alive today, what would he make of the Trump/Q-Anon/Gazpacho Police stuff? Would he revile it? Would he embrace it?

That would have been nice. We've all had F'd up relationships. We look back and wonder what we were on at the time. In John's case, it lasted 12 years.

He'd be the same as Buddy Holly, had Holly lived to an old age -

He'd be old, in other words?

I mean, Holly was an idol to the early rockers.

Look how he dressed and coiffed: clean, all-american. They all presented that look. The Beatles too, with their jackets and ties.

Then within a few years, they evolved into shaggy freaks. Compare
Lennon 1962 vs. Lennon 1970. Frank Zappa, as another example.
At the start, his style was 'accounting major'.

So, had Holly survived, he would probably have gone through
those same transformations. We can imagine him and Lennon as
    friends and artistic soul mates.

Right, Buddy Holly was a huge inspiration to Lennon & McCartney in so many ways.

Imagine Holly going through a psychedelic phase? Who knows how he and his music would have evolved?
