    Steely Dan is the exact opposite of the Dead. Whereas the Dead's concerts
    were organic and they never played a song the same way twice, Steely Dan
    prided themselves on mechanical perfection.

    I wouldn't call that good or bad, but it makes for a more predictable but
    less exciting concert.
