Longtime lover of ambient music, ever since playing the game Majestic in
2001. Majestic was an alternate reality game that used AOL Instant
Messenger, fax, email, and telephone as a means of interacting with the
game, and they blended real web sites with fake web sites stood up for
the game.
While you were playing the game, a mp3 stream would play in the
background. In the hours that I played the game, I was introduced to
Aphex Twin, Biosphere, Heavenly Music Corporation, Sensorama, Beaumont
Hannant, Gas, John Beltran, As One, Boards of Canada, Woob and more.
To this day, I still have a playlist of artists from that game that I
listen to while working.
