    My favorite remains the 1957 recording by Eric Leinsdorf with Leonie Rysanek
    and Roberta Peters. No one I've ever heard could sing Es gibt ein Reich like
    Rysanek could. I also enjoy the more easily available Levine recording with Tomowa-Sintow and Kathleen Battle. I despised the Jessye Norman attempt at this
    opera.
