Respected RMIMers,
I am struck with two song clips which I am not able to find out which movies they belong to and what is their starting point. I request the experienced RMIMers to help help me out. If there are any YouTube link of these songs please provide. The
clips can be heard here:

I think the second song "Teri meri..." is from the film
"Vallah Kya Baat Hai", which starred Shammi Kapoor and
Bina Rai. Music by Roshan.
Afzal
Dear Afzal
The song from Vallah Kya Baat Hai is an Asha Bhosle solo.

From the orchestration, it seems the songs are from 1970s
I will request Narsingh to check the Hindi Film Geet Kosh Volume 5.
With best regards
Sukesh

Kuljeet Here is the reply I received from Narsingh, a friend of mine,
"I checked volume 5 (1971-1980) and another recently available book with songs from 1981 - 1990. I could not find any reference to the two songs (clips) that you sent me".
No reference from any of the films from 1951 to 1990.
Perhaps these clips are of songs from unreleased films or songs not used in films.
Regards
Sukesh
My dear Sukesh,
The song from "Vallah Kya Baat Hai" --- "Teri meri ik jiNdRi" ---
is available on YouTube. I had myself seen the film in the
early sixties --- around 1962 or thereabouts. Bina Rai had
starred opposite Shammi Kapoor. She had put on some weight
by then. Shades of "Taxi Driver" too, when she is shown dressed
in pants and sort of masquerading as a man, cleaning cars etc.
Also, there were shots of Eros Cinema, opposite Churchgate
Station, in both these films, IIRC.
At the time, I had thought that she looked in rare good spirits
while acting opposite Shammi. The two were related by marriage.
She was Premnath's wife. And Premnath's sister Krishna (who
passed away recently) was married to Shammi Kapoor's elder brother
Raj Kapoor.
So, I don't understand the statement about songs from "unreleased"
films.
Of course, there could be other films too where the words in
question ("teri meri ik jindRi") had been used, including
Punjabi films. But as far as hindi films are concerned, I do
not know of any other song where these words were used.
And you can ask your friend to continue posting more such
"unrecognizable" song clips, and old-timers can try to figure out
the details.......
