Got this guitar recently and love the sound.
Spruce top.
Paid $275.00 which from what I've seen is a decent
price.
The sides and back appear to have a satin finish.
Not shiny as I'm used to seeing.
Since I've never seen one of these
Guitars before, I'm just wondering if
this is the normal finish.
If it's supposed to be glossy, I'd like to get
it that way again.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds so much better than the 50 year l
old Yamaha FG150 I used to have.
I am sometimes suffering from long
term loss of short term memory.
That explains why I said this guitar is a
C6 instead of an S6+Spruce.
That's what it says on the inside label.
Apologies.
Seagull is made by Godin Guitars < Robert Godin >

Godin's other acoustic brand names are Norman, Simon & Patrick,
Art & Luthier. Many models in each brand.
La Patrie was the nylon string model.
I have a satin finish Norman < mahogany - cedar > and
a gloss finish Simon & Patrick < rosewood - spruce > and
can't say I have a preference of finish ..
If nobody here has any advice - you could try contacting
the company.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I think I am content with this instrument.
Just wanted to know if it needed a good cleaning.
Can't recall ever seeing anything but gloss
finishing on guitars, but then I haven't been
paying that much attention. My wife surprised
me with it for Father's Day. I may yet
be able to play a F chord and some Barre
Chords be as well as something I could
Never achieve with the old one.
Thanks again.
