    Just stumbled upon this 23 year old post. Just to add a bit of info. I knew Kim since we were about 16. He immersed himself in repairing, building (and playing) guitars and went on to become one of the top few luthiers in Chicago. His forte became
    acoustic (arch top and flat top). I own an acoustic he built in 1992 (in addition to numerous other major brand acoustics). My Schwartz is still one of my 2 go-to acoustics. An amazing instrument that started out fantastic and has held up and improved
    over time. He is now, from what I've heard, a nationally well respected yoga instructor in the Southwest. I don't think he makes guitar any more.

    I just visited Guitar Vista in Albuquerque NM and played a Schwartz guitar. I was told he still builds and that he is a most excellent yogi.
