    A friend of mine refers to this work as the "Born Free" symphony
    for similar reasons.
    All joking aside, I think it's one of Bruckner's best.

    At Tanglewood one summer, Lenny B told me that Born Free and Starwars themes were just inversions of each other.
    Ha ! He's right of course, as about most things.

    I'll check it out. Planting tomatoes just now, I faintly heard what sounded like Bruckner licks coming from the radio indoors. It was Rigel. I wonder if B listened much to R ?

    I'm surprised that "Ride of the Valkerie" hasn't appeared 50 times,
    whenever the cavalry or Avengers ride to the rescue.

    The only example I can recall is the scene from "Apocalypse Now" -

    I would have used it in "Return of the King", when Aragorn leads
    the saving army.
