Excuse me? Old school, men don't have long hair? I can name several of the largest country music legends that had long hair. And, long hair used to be one of the largest trends in the country culture. Don't act like your opinion has anything to do with "
old school" because plenty of old school country music legends and tons of old school country people had long hair. Your opinion is clearly based on the mindset that men shouldn't have long hair because that is a female attribute. You are a bit sexist,
and that is not debatable. I'm a man who grew up country under old school teachings in a very traditionalist family. But I have long hair and nobody in my family has ever said that it's not manly, nor have they ever claimed that it's not country or old
school. Nor has anyone outside my family that I have ever met.

Just in jest, I remember a friend of mine saying "Men shouldn't wear
earrings and women shouldn't wear beards!" Actually , though, Hal,
I just think that the original poster was just talking about personal preference in looks; ie men should look like men and women should look
like women. Tying this thread in with discrimination against various
groups of people probably isn't really that valid!

Call it discrimination if you like. At least I got the guts to stand up
for something that I feel is wrong. I disagree with men wearing
earrings, and therefore I don't think I should support them. Were you
all brought up in a Hard Rock Cafe where the theme is 'Love All, Serve
All'?

All I asked was which male country singers wore earrings. Only 1 person
has sent an answer, although I received several statements of support.
