In the past I've always had problems with lettuce/spinach/bok

lot earlier than I have in the past . The envelopes say "as soon as
the soil is workable" so ... today I planted lettuce , spinach ,
bok choi , and beets . Last frost date is about 6-7 weeks out ,
we'll see how this works .

I just put them in a partly shady spot.
I've done a lot of tree removal work to get full sun at least most of
the day ... and I might take out a couple more trees this year . At
least the trees are oak and make good firewood .
