I am also going to look around to see if i have a tube and yoke that i can try to see if i get any adjustments. I was only thinking of the chassis so im grateful for your suggestion.

Hi Shaun,
Bob's LOPT/Flyback tester did not show a problem with a yoke that had
shorted windings - showed normal rings in the green zone. The same tool
works very well for flybacks though, we use it a lot in the shop for
testing those before we rebuild monitors, along with his ESR meter...
My Sencore Computer Monitor Analyzer model CM-2125 did find the shorted
winding in the yoke.
I am not sure if my (new to me) older Sencore TV-VTR-MATC & Video
Analyzer will work although it does have some sort of ring test. Just
picked up that toy, which should help with fixing early 70s video games
that used TVs that were either vacuum tube or transistorized.
