    Fedi is like a blend of the best(for now, the march of enshittification swallows everythign that can make money and discards what can't without
    regard to societal impact) parts of Twitter, Tumblr(which is the bigger similarity depends on your home instanace- mine is a Firefish so a
    little closer to Tumblr than Twitter), and now I'm showing my age,
    Fidonet. Definitely not the same as here.

    Sadly, unless ISPs start offering it again, it's unlikely to see much of
    a resurgence, and if it doesn't see at least some resurgence ISPs won't
    bother spending the money.
