    In EvilHack I have a carrying capacity problem and try to use lighter alternatives. I exchanged a steel pick-axe for a mithril one and now
    I found a (only marginally lighter) bone pick-axe. - Shall I trade
    mithril for bone here or is there any non-apparent disadvantage?

    Mithril is a better choice than bone, as mithril is already fooproof. Bone can burn unless it's 'fixed'. But, both are a better alternative than the default iron pick-axe.
