NerfHack - corrupt screen and strange savefile message

Some keystroke somehow corrupted my screen; only part of the map
could be seen on the top of my window. So I tried to save the game
but got only: "Saving... Cannot open save file.--More--"
Somehow I managed the screen got again in a good state. And a file
save was also possible again.
