Hello, I have a question for fellow GnollHack players (as far as I’m aware, GnollHack is the only variant to use this spell system). I’m sorry if this is an inappropriate place to ask; I’m not sure how the community works— if this query
should be directed elsewhere, please let me know for next time.
But if I am indeed in the right place: what material components are required for the Bless spell? (Context if needed: I am playing an 8-Intelligence Monk who has found a robe of starry wisdom and quite a few spellbooks, including Bless. Yes, holy
water exists, and will probably be how I bless Bless in the first place should I decide to go that route, but it would be nice to know how viable the other options are.) Thanks for your time. :)
If you have learnt the spell, you can use the View Spell command to see its material components. It's Alt-z in keyboard using versions. On mobile, its in more commands.
Thanks for replying. I have not yet learnt the spell; it’s more that I’m wondering whether it’s worth learning it (via blessing the spellbook) based on how difficult the material components are to acquire. I haven’t been playing that long, but
some spells seem to require less common components than others.
