• Hack'EM game crashed at hardfought.eu - character lost

From Janis Papanagnou@21:1/5 to All on Thu Jun 1 17:00:17 2023
Okay, could not further explore (or even finish) that Hack'EM game.
The game ended without me knowing what actually happened. Suspected
yet another shambling horror ranged attack with instant death. Saw
no end-of-game-log information. But I got the ttyrec and below you
see the final output (a bit garbled, maybe from the ipbt viewer,
with the remains of the map); it seems like a bug/crash... (though
not very informative all that hex-code addresses...) - I suppose
    there's no recovery possible?

    Janis, *sigh*

Game got recovered. - Thanks again, K2!

Now you are somewhat /obliged/ to ascend, aren't you? ;-)

    Good luck!

Erm.. - not sure how likely that is with a new variant,
one that is based on Slashem *and* EvilHack and whatnot!

But I count a game recovery as (sort of) an "ascension
    from digital death". :-)

K2 by the way informed me about a new bug-fix version
that will become active with a newly started game. I'm
not sure whether that was a request to quickly finish
that game or to yet more quickly get killed by it. ;-)

    Unless I die, that game will anyway last quite long;
meanwhile I played (IIRC) about 150k turns, and I've
not yet finished Vecna, not yet met my quest nemesis,
and still stuck in the mid of Gehennom at Orcus town.
    (And I skipped Kas.)

    Good luck!

Thanks! :-) Next stage is Vecna... - might turn out
to be a problem; it could already be one in Slashem if
    she'd not respect Elbereth, but in Hack'EM... - we'll
    see...

Hey Janis - would you be able to email me that ttyrec? I don't have much to go on so anything else would help!

I got notified that the email delivery to the 'eslunna'
google address you had in your posting header failed.
