  • [hackem] Any suggestions for Kas?

    Meanwhile I entered the Chaotic quest. Had two marvelous companions
    with me; a greater pegasus and an angel, both at maximum experience.
    With those things got cleared quickly. But when I entered Kas' level
    the two basilisks killed my pegasus and made a statue from my angel.
    Sadly I have no stone to flesh. (But I have the Castle's wand, so at
    least I could wish for that if it makes sense; but I'm not sure.)
    Anyway I cleared most of Kas' level, the basilisks, the balrog, and
    the master liches. Though Kas is still on my list. I tried missiles,
    volleys of +6 shuriken, but they all miss! Any suggestions for the
    best approach to kill him before I try it with melee?

    Kas is a high level vampire, so tactics you would use against undead could
    be of help here. He's also vulnerable to fire, so fire-based attacks could also help destroy him quickly. To be more more specific, fire-based explosions will be your best bet here due to a bug in how elemental vulnerabilities are
    handled (long standing bug that was just recently fixed in EvilHack, Hack'EM doesn't have that fix yet).
