• [evilhack] Creating armor with extrinsic properties from dragon scales

From Janis Papanagnou@21:1/5 to All on Thu Apr 20 17:21:00 2023
Do I understand that correctly that I can use blue dragon scales
only to create _body armor_ with the extrinsic speed property, but
it is impossible to handicraft the property into other armor types,
like helmets, gloves, or shields? (My tortle monk is incapable of
wearing body armor so he's seeking for another item - native or
handcrafted - that he can wear and that confers the speed property.
Not necessarily looking for special cases of artifacts.) It appears
to me, since boots are not usable by tortles, that the helm of speed
would be the only source of speed for that race. Is that correct?

T[u|o]rtles are infamous for slow motion. Therefore, any attempt to speed
up (by helmet, potion or whatever other means) should result in a message
like: "You feel rushed, but manage to resist the urge of faster motion."

    SCNR. ;-P

    :-)

A former colleague would disagree that they are slow; she once
told me that she had one in the garden and in a short moment of
inattention the beast hurried away unexpectedly quickly. (I'm
sure, though, not with the speed of a jaguar. :-)

But certainly that's why tortles prefer _extrinsic_ speed. ;-)
