Playing a Monk that started with +2 leather gauntlets. Sacrifices
provided quite some more (magic) gauntlets - WTF?! -, so I had
an uncursed +2 pair of leather gloves
a blessed +3 pair of gauntlets of dexterity (10 aum)
a blessed +5 pair of gauntlets of dexterity (being worn) (10 aum)
a blessed +5 pair of cloth gauntlets of dexterity (6 aum)
In the Goblin branch I found some more (quite expensive) gauntlets
with base-price of 100 zk. and 250 zk. respectively
a blessed +0 pair of bone gauntlets named 100 $
an uncursed +0 pair of mithril gauntlets named 250 $
but these were just ordinary ones as became obvious after identifying.
Other sacrifices provided just one artifact weapon; Trollsbane. The
Ogresmasher was randomly lying around somewhere. I left both at my
level 1 stash. So I am fighting bare-handed. - Would fighting with
a weapon be permanently punished as "bad behavior" for Monks?
(Despite being gifted an artifact weapon I don't trust that variant
that it's also safe to use it.)
My permanent bad alignment record is still only slightly abused; I
deliberately ate a floating eye for the intrinsic.
BTW, a cursed magic lamp from the mines doesn't lighten that dark
area; it it because of its curse status? So I am lugging some more
lamps with me.
And some warning-level 2 demon nearly killed me in the mines, other warning-level 2 creatures imposed no threat thus far. The game seems
to focus on dealing unexpected deaths. (Recently the dlvl:2 branch
Goblin king killed me with a wand of death in one turn. Okay, that
is not really something new...)
