What board or card games simulate psychological warfare?
This was really interesting to me, but I have no idea...other than
some of the election games (1960) but I don't think that's what you
are looking for. I posted your request on board game geek as you
articulated it, as I couldn't have done any better. I guess I
should have asked before doing so, but I got so excited. Please
let me know if you'd rather I take it down.

Hi Tim and many thanks for re-posting this at Boardgamegeek.
I'll have a look at the games that are getting mentioned in the
thread there. I don't think the 1960 election games are what I'm
after either, but I'll have a look at them too.

I was going to suggest Brian Train's games - I have played Shining
Path several times. There is also the COIN series by Volko Ruhnke.
It would help if you had a specific conflict in mind Harry
Hi,
I'd be interested in any conflict really, including ones where the
physical conflict hasn't started or has already finished.
A physical conflict that comes to mind is WW2 (any theatre), and, of
cases where it's just PW without a physical conflict, three I'd be
especially interested in are post-VE-Day PW by the western allies against Germany; the Cold War; and the current PW between the West and Russia.
The last of these would be fascinating.
I will have a look at the games you mention. I'm not very knowledgeable
about wargames - the question occurred to me while I was reading about
PW.
