Some versions of XG exhibit the following peculiar bug:
when you Export as Text and paste the result, the XGID
and the players' names get mangled together. For example,
some old posts by Paul have headers that look like this:
XGID=-DB------------------aabb-:2:-1:-X:eXtremeGammon O:Daniel 1:00:6:4:3:0:10
I don't think I experienced this problem with 2.19.207.pre-release
but as I mentioned recently, I'm in the process of transitioning
to 2.19.211.pre-release, and it sometimes happens to me now:
XGID=-B--A-DACA--dC---d-dc-----:0:0:1:00:0:0:3:0:1X:Player 2 O:Player 1

Paul seems to have solved the problem, and I'd be curious to know
what fix he found. In the meantime, I have worked around the bug
by simply not including the names of the players when I Export as
Text. If you go to File -> Export -> Position to Clipboard...
then there is a box "Do not show player names" which you can check.
If you then check the box at the bottom to "Set as default" then
when you next type Ctrl-C, the player names won't be exported, and
so cannot get mixed in with the XGID.
No, you're totally wrong!
I didn't find any fix whatsoever.
It often comes out wrong first time and, in those cases, I do a cntrl-X cntrl-Z move
to make it right.
