The backgame seems to be working out better than the attempts to prove that there are no odd perfect numbers.
I don't think the 7 point checker has much value so we may as well burn it. Breaking an anchor needlessly gives the opponent chances to point or pick and pass.
Note that we're unlikely to crunch so there's no reason not to break an anchor later.
