A backgammon adage that would work for me.
I'm losing a lot of equity through rejecting plays that run into the outfield, subjecting myself to millions of shots, and candlesticking as the alternative.
My adage is: If in doubt, and your opponent's board isn't strong, play to
the outfield, and don't worry about being hit.
