From Mark Brader@21:1/5 to All on Tue Nov 19 06:48:18 2024
These questions were written to be asked in Toronto on the dates
indicated, and should be interpreted accordingly. If any answers
have changed due to newer news, you are still expected to give
the answers that were correct on that date.

On each question you may give up to two answers, but if you give
both a right answer and a wrong answer, there would be a small
penalty if the questions were being scored. Please post all your
answers in a single followup to the newsgroup, based only on your
own knowledge. (In your answer posting, quote the questions and
place your answer below each one.) I will reveal the correct
    answers in about 3 days.

All questions were written by members of What She Said, and are
used here by permission, but have been reformatted and may have
been retyped and/or edited by me. The posting and tabulation of
current-events questions is independent of the concurrent posting
of other rounds. For further information please see my 2024-08-30
companion posting on "Questions from the Canadian Inquisition
    (QFTCI*)".

    * Game 9 (2024-11-11), Round 1 - Current Events

    at 91 last week.

Quincy Jones. 4 for Erland, Dan Blum, Joshua, and Pete.

    2. Name the Ojibway lawyer, judge, and Senator who chaired Canada's
First Nations Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and who
passed away last week at 73.

    Murray Sinclair.

    3. Olivia Chow last week rejected the use of *what political gambit*
to deal with homeless encampments -- although other municipal-
ities in Ontario have specifically requested its use?

    The notwithstanding clause.

    (Don't ask.)

    4. The Raptors retired Vince Carter's jersey last week during
half-time at a game. During the game, Drake came onto the game's
broadcast and verbally attacked which former Raptors player?

    DeMar DeRozan.

    5. The Canadian government banned *which popular app* from formally
