ARLINGTON, Texas — Singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress, whose uneven, viral, national anthem performance at the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby on Monday night, said in an Instagram post Tuesday that she was drunk while singing the "Star-Spangled Banner" and will be checking herself into rehab.

"I'm not gonna bull---- y'all, I was drunk last night," Andress said in a
post on her Instagram story Tuesday afternoon. "I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I
apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition."

Andress' performance came before the Home Run Derby at Arlington's Globe
Life Field, which is hosting the All-Star Game on Tuesday night.

Singing the anthem, the Grammy-nominated Andress delivered what sounded like
an out-of-pitch rendition, immediately leading to widespread backlash and criticism on social media.

Here's a clip of the performance:

The performance appeared to be a departure from Andress' typical display of vocal talent and range.

    Who is Ingrid Andress?
    Andress, 32, is a four-time Grammy-nominated country music singer-
songwriter. She was raised in Highlands Ranch, Colo., just outside of
Denver, and graduated from the Berklee School of Music, according to a Music Row article in 2014, when she signed a publishing deal.

Andress' breakout came several years later, in 2019 when her single "More Hearts Than Mine" peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single also earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song to go along with Best
New Artist, Best Country Album ("Lady Like") and Best Country Duo
    Performance ("Wishful Drinking") nominations.

Andress announced on Instagram on Monday that her new single "Colorado 9"
    comes out July 24.
