• WHY DO SOME PEOPLE CUT POSTS TO AVOID REPLYING

From da pickle@21:1/5 to All on Sat Dec 23 12:46:06 2023
    Why indeed.

Does anyone (besides me) have threaded posts available?

Smart people “clean up” posts to make them more readable.

    So, one more non answer.

    No threads, eh?

    Don't know what that means...

Can you see all the posts that are you replying to.

It is the job of your newsreader to thread topics. It is not the job of all
the other posters to never trim posts just so you can try to follow along. In fact, trimming cluttered posts is considered a courtesy, but you seem to consider it an attack on you. You are so very confused about everything here.

If your newsreader can’t thread, get one that can.

Try not to get so excited, Bill. I have threaded posts, but it seems
obvious (to me) that many do not. Glad that you have threaded posts.

Some people "clean up posts" to avoid responding to the actual words of
the post to which they are responding.

It’s not a great insight to find that some people don’t reply to some questions. Nothing else needs to be said about methods of doing it. It’s usenet.
