• The convenience of Hedonics in inflation calculation

From jack roth@21:1/5 to All on Sat Sep 16 13:27:23 2023
Are those nasty inflation numbers getting too big? No problem, just gin up whatever hedonic adjustments downward you need to make inflation appear low.
So, works like this. Your food and energy bill goes crazy, but because Apple came out with a new Iphone with a couple new features, suddenly your increased food and energy bills don't count.....cuz hedonics.

No, they're actually getting smaller. Turns out most of the inflation was increasedgas prices. And
that was intentional because the Saudis cut production right after Russia cut deliveries. Our own
gas companies shut down a production line.

So your President Biden went to the Camel Fucking Reporter Killer (he couldn't put it in writing or
chance saying it over the phone), and told MBS to increase production or we'd cut military arms
parts, close bases and let the Jews come in and kick his ass. Get the oil from them.

Camel fucker (MBS) increased production before Biden got back home to threaten our gas producers.
Our gas producers apologized for making a mistake and 'misreading the market' and shutting down
a line. They started it right back up.

Gas prices - and inflation - dropped for 78-days in a row.

Thank you, President Biden. And we apologize for the idiots that actually think you control gas prices.

That did occur, but not in the manner you pretend.

FYI, a retraction in oil output (the 2nd? 3rd? 4th?) agreed upon by Saudis and Russians is currently in force.
While on the political side, MBS came to a surprising agreement with the Iranians to halt that mutually improductive Yemen proxy-war - at Pres. Xi's suggestion, no less.
So it seems MBS was not very impressed by the claims Joe presented to him back then.

I'm pretty sure everyone but you understood it. If so, what could we conclude from that? It's not a particularly difficult concept to understand that if you are going to measure the increase in price of an object over time, the object you compare it with
in the future has to be the same. It is also not difficult to understand that if the the object you compare it with in the future is different, you have to account for those differences and their effect on price. I am genuinely surprised that those very

    .

And we apologize for the idiots that actually think you control gas prices.
    .
You live in a paralell dimension that seems to run behind ours.

Really? So all that didn't happen? Let's see what's in YOUR dimension...

Since Pres. Biden begged MBS ...

Weird dimension; where you think Biden flew over there to beg MBS and then MBS suddenly complied.
Gee, I wonder what he said when he was begging.... What does your one-dimension world think?

to please restore the oil output level, MBS sided with VP in both cutting it (again).

Ah! Fantasy Dimension. Where it doesn't match the facts I pointed out to you.
    .

That did occur, but not in the manner you pretend.
Yea, it did, 87-days in a row...
FYI, a retraction in oil output (the 2nd? 3rd? 4th?) agreed upon by Saudis and Russians is currently in force.
FYI, this was about then, not now.
While on the political side, MBS came to a surprising agreement with the Iranians to halt that mutually improductive Yemen proxy-war - at Pres. Xi's suggestion, no less.
So it seems MBS was not very impressed by the claims Joe presented to him back then.
Enough that it happened, just as I said...
    You're losing timeline awareness.
    So you've gone from,
"> You live in a paralell dimension that seems to run behind ours." (Not explaining who "ours" is).
    to,
    "> You're losing timeline awareness."
    Yet you started with:

    "> That did occur,"

    From Reuters: https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/saudi-arabia-extends-voluntary-oil-output-cut-1-mln-bpd-end-2023-2023-09-05/

    That's not.
    .
"Biden last year failed on a visit to Saudi Arabia, the de facto leader of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, to secure a boost in production, with allies led by Russia, collectively known as OPEC+, instead announcing production
decreases in October and further surprise cuts in April."

Wow, actually it was worse than I recalled, and obviously much worse than how you tried to paint it.

It's noted that you either outright lie or just blunder on your views about any matters, when it comes to support your favorite President. I recommend you try and keep up-to-date with the news on the energy and international policy sectors, or just
    STFU.

So yes, you seem to be living in a parallel dimension running a year behind "ours" -- or you lost timeline awareness at all.

    This was then:

    https://tinyurl.com/mry7edw6

    It was as I said...

No, it wasn't as you said.
You tried to portrait Pres. Biden as such an imposing leader, head of the first world power. But shortly after he met with MBS, his claims were proven futile in face of the Saudis siding with the Russians on the oil output handling.

And regarding the "cut the arms parts, close bases" bravado, US weapons and bases were proven ineffective when missiles and drones sent from Yemen caused major disruption on the infrastructure. Then the Saudis became pragmatic and accepted China's
recommendation to set an armistice with Iran (China's partner, and supporter of Yemen rebels) and continue business in a relative peace -- that is, putting a limit to the US influence.

As for your "78 days in a row" bragging, well, a year has 365. Your link shows that "your dimension" lags 1 year.

*You* are the one living in Fantasy Dimension, pretending your President is Captain America. None of his claims were taken by the Saudis - rather backfired.

If so, what could we conclude from that? It's not a particularly difficult concept to understand that if you are going to measure the increase in price of an object over time, the object you compare it with in the future has to be the same. It is also
not difficult to understand that if the the object you compare it with in the future is different, you have to account for those differences and their effect on price. I am genuinely surprised that those very obvious facts are proving too difficult for
    you to understand.

    That's not.
    .
"Biden last year failed on a visit to Saudi Arabia, the de facto leader of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, to secure a boost in production, with allies led by Russia, collectively known as OPEC+, instead announcing
production decreases in October and further surprise cuts in April."

Wow, actually it was worse than I recalled, and obviously much worse than how you tried to paint it.

It's noted that you either outright lie or just blunder on your views about any matters, when it comes to support your favorite President. I recommend you try and keep up-to-date with the news on the energy and international policy sectors, or
    just STFU.

So yes, you seem to be living in a parallel dimension running a year behind "ours" -- or you lost timeline awareness at all.

    That was then:

    https://tinyurl.com/mry7edw6

    It was as I said...
    .

No, it wasn't as you said.
You tried to portrait Pres. Biden as such an imposing leader, head of the first world power.

"Tried?" Heh... Tune out Fake Fox News and tune in... It IS as I said.
    .
    .

"Fox Fox blah blah" is all you have.

It's all I need. Fox News admits it lies to you viewers.

Rupert Murdoch - owner of Fox News, admitted, in a court document, His Dominion Deposition, that
"Fox News lies to its viewers." Then he stopped the trial and settled with Dominion. THEN told his
talking heads to NOT report this on Fox News. THAT is why you didn't know all this.

Settlement: $787,500,000, plus, fire Tucker Carlson. "Done," says Rupert Murdoch. The problem was
the fool waited until AFTER Discovery. All the notes where Tucker, Rupert and all the other talking heads
stated what a fool Trump was.

Perhaps that why Rupert Murdoch just stepped down.

NOW will you go to a news service that doesn't say they lie to you?
    .
    .
    .
    .
Dodge and run away, as you like to say.

Note the above paragraphs of NOT running.
    Now YOU run...

The true fact is no one knows anything about that "settlement". The Deep State has tons to hide on this case and it's easily possible Murdoch, who is part of the Deep State himself, did a two-for for the Deep State in deflecting the blame on the
election fraud by wrongfully accepting fault and then also doing the Deep State a favor by getting rid of Tucker, who is very inconvenient for them.
