Joe, you've missed out, as I recently told a story about Bob Stupak in my blackjack game at Vegasworld..

One of my posts talking about Vegas.....I actually can't remember if it was still vegasworld or was it the Stratosphere it's been so long ago. But, I was counting cards in a BJ game way back then and had some really drunk old guy next to me at the
table who I was ignoring. He was really drunk and finally passed out over the table. The dealer did nothing about it and tried to keep dealing to me with this guys head practically on top of me. Was only have a floor and a shift manager/pit boss
type came over and just stood there staring at him that I finally spoke up out of disgust asking if they were going to get security to peel this guy off my table. I hadn't even given this guy a good look really as I figured it was just some vegas bust
out. The boss says to me they weren't touching him as he owned the casino....then I instantly looked and realized it was Bob Stupak next to me all along. I decided to leave as now I had management watching me while I was counting cards.
I have a similar story about Binions. I was at BARGE at the Banquet and this really scummy looking guy with a cheap polyester shirt half buttoned and wearing some chain sat down next to me and got all chatty. He was very friendly to me, but he looked
like some downtown bustout homeless guy who had crashed the banquet and now was chatting me up....Can't recall if Howard Lederer or Greg Raymer was the speaker at this banquet....but I ended up leaving early because he creeped me out. Later that night
I saw BARGErs taking turns at $1K HU NLHE matches with this guy and turned out he was Nick Behnen, wife of Becky Binion who owned Binions and was actually the guy who hired Nolan Dalla for the WSOP way back. So, twice I'm sitting next to casino owners
    and have no clue.
I have other stories of celebrities as I never recognize them.....I really got into it bad with Jerry Buss at the Bicycle Club at a $40-80 game he was sitting in while waiting for a $80-160 game and had no clue who the really drunk slurring old asshole
with the uncombed hair was....until two extremely young and hot girls walked into the casino and escorted him out and someone said how it was be good to be Jerry Buss. Felt like I fullfilled a bucketlist item disrespecting such a rich guy...and he knew
I didn't give two shits.....it being LA, I'm used to instantly dropping the gloves when someone mouths off.

    Good stories, Jack.

Thanks, Paul. I've witnessed and heard many interesting vegas/poker stories over the years. Occasionally they pop back into my head. Some of the best stories I ever heard were from "Tall Bob" Adair, who was an old time vegas dealer who ended up
dealing at the Riviera before he came up to Paradise, CA and dealt the small room I played there. I remember him dealing at the Riviera and that room was relaxed at the time with him just spread out reading the paper waiting for a stud game to deal.
I was in a game with my friend's Raiderette girlfriend and he dealt her Aces full to beat my full house. Ouch. Last time he dealt to me was in Oroville some years ago when I was checking on the house up there....he dealt me AA....and then some dummy
played the 72o for a raise against me...bet it the entire way and he rivered a 2nd pair against my wired aces. But, he told great stories of Binions and the Stardust and about all the poker O.G's back then and about Benny, Ted, Jack Binion, too....some
    really spooky shit.

I like reading your stories, Mav ... I remember BARGE when you were
there. I remember you don't like to tip dealers and you are as
obnoxious as you admit to being here. I am glad you are on here as
there are only a few worth reading ... I may have played 4-6 offsuit
against you, but I do not remember that specifically.

Odd as I've made it a point to be very gentlemanly at BARGE trips despite being outright attacked, threatened, and every manner of unprovoked rudeness coming from the socialist losers in that group any time I drag a pot off them. I can't begin to tell
you how I don't miss BARGE at all or what's left of that group. The cool crowd abandoned that group after about 2005. Note: The single exception to my rudeness was IMO only in the PL "Ernie" game where the local "pro" thought he'd join our group
after I had clobbered him all week long in NL games. His strategy is to martingale the game. He starts with a goliath stack and just puts the entire table All-IN on the flop a lot. I took about $3K off him during the week and was threatened by him
constantly how he was going to catch me one of the hands. He chased me over to that PL table which played very big. He was mouthing off the entire game and when I needled him back every time he lost a pot, he became super threatening even getting up
to go get a knife from his room to come down and stab me. Binions gave me my owned armed guard. He even picked up a chair once. I beat him in a a good sized pot and won at least $500 that night despite Paul Phillips making two pair with Q7 against my
AA. Was one of the most epic games at BARGE ever and Paul Phillips even showed up with his backpack full of rolls of $100 bills. I remember a lot of WSOP bracelets at the table...antonio Esfandiari was there I recall...hard to remember everyone as I
was drinking myself. I think Tiger123 sat down for a couple minutes....Andrew Prock, David Orr(Grandson of David Packard founder of HP) was at the table on my left for a time. If I recall correctly, I think Paul Phillips felted a huge stack of $100's
off Ernie. Ernie just wouldn't stop running his mouth....I had gotten to him all week never losing an all-in to him.

I do not think you were there when Doyle was our speaker at BARGE, I
have a photo on my wife sitting in his lap and she remembers you not
    tipping her as well.
Nolan Dalla kept that a big secret of Doyle speaking else I might have considered going.

So, you are saying I stiffed your wife? Funny how many dealers think they are owed tokes every time they push a pot no matter how small. I didn't know your old lady was a vegas dealer. My brother has played poker with me and has yet to ever toke...
even after getting quads and dragging a big pot. Interesting side note about my brother. Back when my brother was at Microsoft, he was Monte Christenson's employee for a time. You should have seen the confused look on Monte's face when he sat down
in my game and my brother was sitting behind me. I had never mentioned to him the connection.

Again, thanks for being on here and keep up the stories and your
interesting comments on real issues as well.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll occasionally remember more worthy posts at times. Gotta document all this stuff to show that poker used to be entertaining back before they invented NL poker and tables filled up with manic depressives in their 20's who never talk
and demand silence at the table when it's their turn to act.

Why would I worry about being "worth" something as a human being to poker dealers or pretty much anyone at BARGE? Probably Farha recognizes the POSs he's around and acts appropriately.

Yes ... poker has changed. Have you ever considered a Card Player
    Cruise? We love them.

I considered the Cardplayer cruises, but there is literally nothing that sounds fun about a cruise to me. If you were to give me the woman of my choice to go with on a cruise, I'd turn it down. Just send her over to my house and we'll netflix and
    chill.

    LOL!

I have a similar story about Binions.

Really? You have stories you haven't told us? (Heh...)

I have other stories of celebrities.

    Oh, really? Golly!

Sorry if I enjoy proving Jack Off a delusional. But I won't have armatures attempting to besmirch me,
