    Where does it say it hit a "Christian community". I mean....every community has christians, but there is no mention of any particularly christian community getting hit. You'd think God would take out the Scientologists on the west side of Florida.
    And, I know every damn time we have an earthquake in CA, the televangelists get on TV and blame it on us sinners in CA despite CA having more christians than any other state. But, Tim, you seem to take this hurricane personally, whereas I was just

    Well, there's sort of a dichotomy in what I think...there is that book/doc/etc the "Secret" where it kinda shows you the power of positive thinking....which I think can be a real thing in that it can influence others to give you your way...but
    attributing results of positive thinking so a fairy tale, I don't bought into. But, with respect to being a misanthrope, IMO everyone is a misanthrope whether they admit or not...that's why the world is always at war...it's natural to hate and compete
    for resources with the enemy...or for women...or for money at the job...or on the poker table...or in sports....and particularly in politics which can affect everyone's lives. Currently there is an unbelievably amount of misanthropic people in the left..

    The interesting part of this kind of thinking is the observation that societies which do work together as much as possible progress more than ones which are dog-eat-dog. That is particularly true now, when the survival of a large percentage of us depends
    on technology, which is created and maintained by a small number of people, but requires a huge educational system to generate them.
