I've read better blackjack books, but gotta respect any advantage gambling albeit harder to find these days. I'm old enough now, that if I ever go into casinos and play blackjack again, I'll go look for a 3to2 BJ game, probably double deck and just be
blatant..moving my chips up and down with the count....hitting stiffs on negative counts...completely min betting if too many aces come out. Let'em trespass me.

Arnold did Blackjack Forum, if you remember that. He wrote a lot of stuff, about all kinds of stuff.

Speaking of playing blackjack, in my opinion, if one is a Californian, I would concentrate on Spanish 21. It is very big in many Indian joints, and there is essentially no heat. It is a much better game than regular blackjack.

Casinos have never welcomed me to play blackjack. They've been assholes.....shuffling up doubledecks every single hand.....or flat betting me.....or giving me the tap on the shoulder and outright banning me from BJ. Or, you can even have non-official
fuckery with dealers who think they can count....and you get things like old asian female dealers who'll shuffle up after 1 hand if a bunch of low cards come out on the first deal. Then watch how mouthy employees get if you don't toke them....then you
have to explain to them that's exactly WHY you don't toke them. Fucking lazy ass losers who can't get a real job...gotta be doing some mindless repetitive job where they don't use their brain and mooch tokes....what losers dealers are.

Well, we all know it's not dealers who keep the lights on. Dealers are just bums who couldn't fit into any other job. You think dealers can recognize winners? Guess what, jerry, we players all know how to recognize you losers. And, what makes you the
biggest losers of all is not only do you have to perform a job where there is an endless supply of other losers waiting to take your place, so you have no pricing power as an employee, but also you have to sit there taking abuse from all the other local
degen vegas players...and in glorious irony you two types of people, dealers and vegas players all form your own echo chamber where you justify your pathetic lives by convincing yourselves the tourists are keeping the lights on. How pathetic. Jerry, I'
ve seen you pretend to know what it's like to be a cop, ludicrously pretend to know about guns, and bullshit us even more about security clearances of which you obviously googled your information as it's only up to date...and not past information...and
in pure vegas degen fashion, you sit there like the typical loser dealer coping and equivocating your pathetic life by trying to somehow characterize tourists as losers. Ya know, the typical tourist probably does lose...a few days a year...but that's
his vacation...and then he goes back to a home in a good neighborhood with good weather, to a job with a fat salary and a happy family along with pensions, 401k's/457bs, and bank accounts...and money to fucking waste. What do you all you loser vegas
degens have? No families....you people are all fucked up...anyone can see that....you all die broke and almost always have worse gambling problems than any tourist...and then you spend your entire adult lives in shit weather, around shit local human
beings, and superficial meaningless vegas acquaintances.....but ya, you have "juice"....what a joke.

Oh I saw your Spanish 21 comment. But, my comment is regarding standard BJ in vegas. I'm unfamiliar with Sapnish 21 and not likely to seek it out...I've just been really turned off by the casinos more and more as they make everyone's vacation more
complicated trying to clip even more money from us. The feeling of freedom made vegas feel great years ago when you could just park anywhere without impediments, go get player coupons , and free/cheap food and alcohol and good games. Now it feels
like driving over a bunch of speed bumps with a toll charge after every bump....plus mix in the thug element and there's no reason to ever visit. I'd feel 1000x safer if the Mob took over.

Hell, I didn't even make it to my whine about poker. All these NL games make poker tables full of manic depressives who take forever between every decision and think they have a right to make everyone shut up for 5min until they can decide whether or
not to call a $15 bet. Life is too short to put up with this insanity.

Ya, and I have a CCW and can easily defend myself....but how safe do you even feel these days defending yourself when there are Democrat Soros funded DA's which will prosecute you just because you used a gun to rightfully defend yourself. You may save
your own life, and you probably won't be found guilty if you defend yourself correctly, but you'll still get bankrupted hiring lawyers. Look at Kyle Rittenhouse....a minor child defending himself against convicted felon adult pedophiles trying to kill
him and his defense cost millions.

"Safer?" LOL. I worked at the Golden Nugget Poker Room in the 60's. With the mob in control, it was even easier to take the 'live ones.' We had mechanics for Blackjack and tables full of shills for poker. Nobody beat the house. Nobody.

Well, I never played in the 60's, but I do know any experienced counter isn't stupid enough to be dealt by a mechanic. We recognize the normal dealer rotation and will immediately be suspicious if there is an unexpected tap on the dealers shoulder,
especially when it's a dealer we don't recognize and/or the type of dealer we don't like. There are specific dealers I don't like playing against so I'll move around between a few. And dealers run their yap, too. I had a frontier dealer tell me when
they sent in a Cooler to come act all depressed and destroy the mood at the table. I didn't sit there fighting it....I left and used my food comp. And, I remember the time of shills. They aren't allowed to bet or call you idiot...they are min wagers
getting free drunks to set there and fill a table. And, ya, I've seen dealers roll the deck before and try to deal seconds to players who weren't toking...easy to do when it's a Hi-Lo game and they think they know when their nemesis is raising on a low
draw....no problem at all to just switch up and go for high only hands, better on any flopped 2 low cards and induce the dealer to run off two high cards. But, dealers rotate, too. I wonder how many blonde female "mechanics" they can find to deal.

Ya, "We", idiot. Being a counter you quickly notice other counters. Sometimes you get into conversations and get to know each other a bit. Sometimes people who aren't counters at all even recognize you are a counter and start bugging you to make a
    number of decisions for them.

Yes we were, idiot… (JFC! This idiot telling ME about my own fucking job?)

like the simpleton job of a dealer is some sort of mystery to poker players. I've spent thousands of hours on poker tables watching everything about the dealers. I got news for you jackass, while you are busy dealing a game, players like me are bored
as hell waiting for a hand and we watch what's going on at the table. We can probably tell you a lot of things about yourself and your job you don't even realize, jackwagon.

It's called "reality". I know you moron democrats never heard of it, but there are some people in the world who just go by the evidence and facts in life. And, when you say delusional....who the fuck are you fooling? Every poker player on earth knows
an endless line of poker dealers who are all failed delusional poker players who thought they'd go "pro". Even you admit your delusion when you try to assert to us this magical "juice" you think you had.

I didn't concede shit because I was making two separate comments that I thought were being confused with each other....and that's what you did talking about BJ mechanics in the 60s. And, you got your facts wrong. The casinos were totally oblivious to
counters in the 60's, dumbass...that's why they didn't use mechanics. My mechanics comment is more modern and there has been plenty of testimony about mechanics in times since, though I don't believe mechanics are needed now that they have computers
that can identify counters and also they make the games impossible to beat by the constant shufflers or the 6to5 games. These days I think the closest you can come to beating BJ in vegas is a 3to2 double deck game and there aren't many left. I
also think the constant shuffler games can be beaten for a small amount because you can hit/stand/split/double based on the real count and I doubt those games are sweated very much at all. I have no comment on shoes as I hate having to keep running
counts that long and in shoes, you have to vary your bets more because the odds seem to be worse....couldn't imagine a worse fate than some floor sweating your shoe game and backing you off after the computer tells him the shoe just turned positive after
you've been sitting there counting it forever.
