Mickey is on the show tonight. It was a real pleasure listening. He is almost 70, and came back pretty good from a heart attack. Similiar to me, but I've gone downhill. I always wanted to do what he did. Probably need another life to do that.

The Show is over. After 12 years, they're going to throw in the towel. Somehow I knew it was coming last night. I swear, like I was psychic or something, I had a feeling. They're going to do a few more shows, and move on.

I haven't listened to the latest, but it doesn't entirely surprise me. Bob and one side kick or another have been going for a very long time. And the AP world has largely moved on from what Bob did. Bob had a moment a few weeks ago when they had a low
roller guest on where he described conditions a couple decades ago... I remembered vividly. A while back I told someone here they were begging me to play video poker. No heat. It was better than that. They were paying me to play. And it could be
argued that I missed the real heyday of AP VP.

Their show covered a lot of territory, not just Bob's old exploits. I never missed a show.

Listen, if you're going to Vegas soon, maybe we can chat on the phone and I can ask you to do some stuff for me. This morning I paid for flood insurance. Our area is a disaster, and the mountains are packed with snow like has never been seen in 100
years. It's not the current rain that has everyone nervous, it's what happens to the snow in April and May. So I paid for flood insurance, and I have a tax appointment in an hour. Too bad the day isn't longer, I'd go see the dentist. This is going to
be an expensive day. Let me know if we can talk before Vegas. Thanks.

Need a play scouted? This visit will be at Cosmopolitan, Circa and the GN.... because free. If it's something in the vicinity I can look at it. Not sure if I'll have wheels or if we will be traveling much.

I handled taxes some time ago, but did spend Friday night skating on sheets of hail in heavy rain... The winter has been unusually mild here. Hardly any snow at all. I had the snowblower out only once for a couple inches of wet snow that disappeared
in a couple of days anyway.

Dealt a royal last weekend. It has been a very long rtime since that happened last. Unfortunately while killing time waiting for a dinner table. Nickel double STP. No multiplier.

I was interested in Green Valley, Boulder Station, and Santa Fe Station. But I'm also interested a little in Circa.

Unlikely I'll be at the locals joints, but anything downtown is workable. I'm not aware of progs at Circa. Maybe that crazy long bar at ground level. 8/5 BP flat top fitty cent and dollar by sports book. Shoot me an e mail if you are looking for
    something in particular.

Apparently there are 8-6 BPDX with progressives in three spots. At 25-cents denom, they cap out at $1199, so I'm not interested in those. But at the Mega Bar and the Overhang Bar, they also have denoms of 50-cent, $1, $2, and $5. If you see anything
playable (positive), please make a note. Especially 50-cent and $1. I'd like to know any meters, but it would probably be pretty difficult if the place is crowded, which it probably will be. Maybe you can estimate.

On Level-2, overlooking the sportsbook, there's supposed to be 16 slant-tops on the far right. Progressives in 50-cent, $1, $2, and $5. Do they run on the same meter or are there any individuals? Again, if you see anything positive, or can ascertain a
    meter, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks.

Since you're going to be downtown, may I suggest taking a look at the new Wildfire Fremont. Might be worth checking out. I've always liked the Wildfires and found some pretty good VP gems in them.

Both banks BPDeluxe? I've looked at the Long Bar prog at the D before. Like you said, prog capped at $1199 completely uninteresting. I never clocked it, but I didn't see anything remarkable there. Maybe the same story at GG and Circa. I'm up
tragically early, so I've got a good shot at being the only one on a bank to clock the meters... unless the meters are really up and the game is swarmed.

Yeah, I read that they have an IHOP ;-) I might check it out. Can't quite tell whether is is a long walk or an uber ride away. Back when I was going to Las Vegas several times a year I had all sorts of time to check out locals joints and new casinos.
I seem to be down to once every couple of years now which puts a different spin on my visits.

I think that is too far to walk. It's where the old Showboat used to be. And some BAD areas to be in. I remember the furthest I would walk, and even this was rough, was to the Western. I liked the Western. Some good VP.

My mind is a blank on GG. I do know they have that good 3-way BP Prog same at D/Vu Bar. But isn't there a long bar at GG also? My brain is telling me 8-6 BPDX like the other "long" bars, but I don't know. I was disappointed when they got rid of the
food, the shrimp cocktail, and the piano. I used to stay at Vegas Club dirt cheap, bad drainage in shower, and then walk across to GG and get beer and shrimp cocktail. On Christmas, the piano was nice. All before they brought in the dancing girls.

Yes GG bar has the same type of progressive as Long Bar. The 3 way BP progressives are in nice comfortable IGT slant tops.
I remember Las Vegas Club fondly. One time I stayed there for something like $13 a night. The CWs wore cheer leader uniforms, but they were about 30 or 40 years past their cheer leading days. They had good vp. I seem to recall JB with a 4700 coin
royal? Other stuff also. And they had good blackjack too. Unusual rules. I distinctly remember sitting at a table. The dealer was a really cute Asian girl with a tongue stud. I could swim in her eyes.... Cute girls and cheap rooms and good vp. I
was a pig in shit. A single pig in shit.

Besides the good JW, they also had Downtown Deuces. I would have to think for a half hour to remember the paytable. It was Double Deuces with something like 100.9% return.

I was a
pig in shit. A single pig in shit.

Besides the good JW, they also had Downtown Deuces. I would have to think for a half hour to remember the paytable. It was Double Deuces with something like 100.9% return.
Those were the days my friend. I thought they'd never end....

They also had Downtown Deuces at El Cortez for the longest of time. But it's history. At Sam's Town, they had a UNIQUE version of Deuces, Sam's Town Deuces, that was essentially +1%.

I also one time found a Deuces game, I called it El Dorado Deuces, it was at El Dorado in Henderson. Penciled out to about 100.6%. El Dorado was sister to Jokers Wild on Boulder Hwy. They both had excellent games at one time, and excellent promos and
slot club. They were Boyd but had their own card. I don't know what they are now, but they probably suck. Just a guess.
