Ammunition is a good one. Not sure about what laws apply. Vodka, or other bottles of booze is a good one. Maybe those small bottles (pints?), certainly going to be demand for this. Cigarettes come to my mind. People are going to smoke.

So the idea would be to start stocking up on these items now. As long as they don't expire, how can you go wrong?

It's not the end of the world, fool. But it's the end of the Dollar as we know it. If you don't want to barter, then go ahead and use the government's digital money. You don't mind them knowing everything you buy and sell, that's your business.

You're right, Brian, I do remember doing this before. But now it's getting more real. Look up the plan for FedNow in July. They are going to do this. And it's a precursor toward the CBDC. These people are dead serious. And we're looking at more and
more bank failures. The country is crumbling.

Good idea, I read 2 drops of bleach per liter will sanitize water. Also helps to be able to filter it.

I am no prepper, I have to laugh at most of them, unless you have land that has water, the ability to grow food, and be able to protect it, then what... you have postponed it all for a couple of weeks at best. Living in the dark eating canned beans

I knew an old German guy in San Francisco who was nine years old immediately after Germany had been defeated in 1945. He bought powdered milk as cheap as he could and then wandered around the streets selling it for as high a price as he could get. That's
how he helped his family survive.

What is Mad Max? A total economic collapse and collapse of our banks, is that Mad Max? The BRICs nations get together and decide they don't need our US Dollar anymore, and send them all back to us, is that Mad Max? If China attacks Taiwan and we have
to step in, is that Mad Max? If our supply of antibiotics is cut off, is that Mad Max? What is Mad Max, that is so unlikely as to not prepare for it?

Exactly, yet they waste the life they do have (and sometimes all their resources) fretting and preparing for a hopeless eventuality that is massively unlikely to happen in their lifetimes. It's sad. I've been hearing "the end is near" from these doomsday

Younger women can always trade sex....I've seen poker players try to trade a roll with their girlfriend for a buy-in.
Any medication, not just antibiotics...plenty of people need maintenance meds...and re antibiotics, you need various types...plus medical supplies of all sorts.
    Canned/dry food and canned/bottled drink.
    Gold/Silver, etc,
Tons of ammo...can never have enough ammo....guns, too, because they break and wear out and you need backups, plus replacement parts and tools to work with AR type weapons.
New Clothes, Shoes, blankets, cleaning/sterilization supplies,
    Gasoline, etc...kerosene is just diesel....
Pump and hose to siphon tanks and gas stations...and jerry cans, whatever you can get ahold of....HarborFreight is a good place. Get the metal ones if you can.
List goes on....and on...we take many things for granted.

Fact is in civil war or nuclear war, most everyone is going to starve and starve pretty quickly. Just look how quickly shelves clear if people think a hurricane is coming....multiple that times a million....there will be no delivery trucks coming to
restock either. Have enough food to survive 3- 6months and you can probably outlast most people if you can defend yourself. I also keep multiple fire extinguishers for fire....or if they try to burn me out.

So funny I forgot to laugh. What a jackass you are.
Funny, I thought the jackass was the person wanting to stock up on items for bartering so he can he can survive the end of the world as we know it. Stop living with these ridiculous fears. You'll be much happier.
You are flat out wrong here and that was proven in 2020. I'm not a prepper, but I keep months of any supply I might need in case of natural disasters, etc....Ex-wife would laugh at me having a couple cases of toilet paper....until 2020 came and she
couldn't get toilet paper....oh, and the shelves were cleaned bare everywhere...so she had no food either. All those supplies worked out perfectly so I didn't have to leave my house putting myself at risk of the China Virus and also to help my ex and
    kids survive.
Now, Bill, if you are someone who has 20 years worth of shit, then ya, maybe you are a lunatic.

I'm not talking about that kind of prepping. I am talking about the teotwawki nuts who are obsessed with it. It takes over their lives and that's all they think about, like Popinjay. He has been obsessing about it for decades, at least. I am sure you
have seen others on TV. I have the same preparations as you for natural disasters and the like. That much is common sense.

I knew an old German guy in San Francisco who was nine years old immediately after Germany had been defeated in 1945. He bought powdered milk as cheap as he could and then wandered around the streets selling it for as high a price as he could get. That'
s how he helped his family survive.

Sounds like my mother. She and a bunch of refugees waded out to a sunken ship in Hannover Harbour to strip it clean. She ended up with a hundred-pound bale of tobacco.

    Ammunition, vodka, antibiotics, pain killers,...

Add bleach for sterilization. Not too many smoke any more. Seeds might work.

Living in the dark eating canned beans
is no way to live. I care about this as preparation for storms and long power outages etc, not Mad Max.

I have been looking at solar battery chargers. A few hundred bucks and some rechargeable batteries would be handy.
    Something like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6W1D9L1/ref=emc_b_5_t
I have that already, plus 7 acres of woods.
To be precise, I have an 18kW system, with Tesla batteries good for 29 kWh

That's a bit more than I had in mind but it sounds badass

LOL. Miss me yet? My little prep is looking better. Also glad I built a cabin in the hills of Oklahoma. Word to the wise, don't barter ammunition except to those you know and trust.
