Border Program to Expel Migrants Must Stay in Place for Now, Supreme Court Says (NYTimes)

The ruling is a provisional victory for 19 states led
mostly by Republicans that had sought to keep the
pandemic rule known as Title 42 in place.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court said on Tuesday that a pandemic-era health measure that restricted migration at the southern border would remain in place for the time being, delaying the potential for a huge increase in unlawful crossings.

But you know the story. Photos of hundreds of migrants, pushing at our border, yearning to be free.

But good for the Supreme Court. Doing what should be done, even though their Republican sponsors want that cheap labor and Democrats want American Labor union members. I don’t see the day when Republicans will actually renegotiate our immigration
policy. We could sure use it.

Democrats have been fighting for years to stop this influx while Republicans continue seeking that cheap, illegal labor. Democrat Presidents have deported more illegals than Republicans. But as long as Republicans can keep judges from being appointed,
Legals – seeking papers – will become illegal, working for slave labor.

That's regrettable timing. Texans were just starting to come around to the idea of putting their Christian values into action.

Yea, well, things won't get any better south of the border. Too many dictatorships and too many people trying to escape. We should push for them to seek asylum in Mexico, or some other neighboring country. Or pass them through to Canada. But our country
is aging faster than others, and labor intensive company are crying for labor (to do the jobs Americans won’t?). Farmers. Then the Social Security folks point out how retirement outpaces those folks putting in.

We need selective immigration, like it’s supposed to be. Have a sponsor or a skillset this country needs. Looks like I better run for office again and straighten this all out..
