    I got around today to making the soup I've been flapping
    my mouth about earlier this week. I was given even *more*
    tomatoes so I figured I better get those on a sheet pan and
    roasted. No way I could consume _that_ many tomatoes.

    Lots of heavy cream was added to the finished pot and it
    made about 6+ quarts. Thankfully, I can have a grilled
    cheese or a pimento cheese sandwich with this, and lastly
    there's ham in the refrigerator for another sandwich option.

    Soup??? Maybe some gazpacho or some other cold soup. It is stinking hot
    and humid here today. It sounds like a nice soup for a cooler day.

    Email a bowl of tomato soup to me, please! ;)

    When my parents lived in west TN my father had a large garden in the
    back yard. He always over-planted tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, etc.;
    way more than we could possibly use. Lots of neighbors got free veggies.

    Sorry, Dave, a nice hot bowl of soup hits the spot year round. :) Cold
    soup never had much appeal in my book.

    Okay. We will agree to disagree. I have had some nice refreshing
    Gaspacho in my time. Vichy Sois is good but I have that lactose
    intolerance thing so I tend to avoid it.

    Vichyssoise, not to be confused with a Vichyssois.
