What's for dinner this second day of the work week?

It's 93°F (34°C) here and no cooking as I brought
home a generous plate on Monday of Chinese takeout.

That was lunch and supper yesterday and it was an
early supper tonight. Just a bit left if after
dark if I should get hungry and it's nice not
turning the kitchen into a sauna. Wednesday
will be a cooking day that will produce some
    leftovers.

    A monk asked the master,
“Why must the fish have both a left and a right fin?”

    The master replied,
“To swim straight in a crooked stream.”

    The monk persisted,
“And if the stream is straight?”

    The master smiled,
“Then the fish needs two fins all the more...”

That salmon was from Canada. Beats me if that's good or bad. It was
going for $9.99/lb. That's a good thing in my book.

Wait, that should be "dead-pig soup". The pig is dead, not the soup.

It would be cruel to eat a live pig.

Damned if that don't sound like something da Hiwaiians would do!

But I wouldn't put it past Uncle Tojo either ... He's asian you know.
Well at least half asian anyway.

I had two hot dogs and potato chips. I don't remember what my wife had.
Last night, I upgraded to this. My wife ditched the applesauce and had
    corn on the cob instead.

    <https://postimg.cc/zLVGdsBr>

She made tomato-cucumber-red onion salad today. Heat and old age make me lethargic. She had a big lunch with an old friend, so I don't think
    she'll starve.
Oh, and she bought one of these at a farmer's market. It's all cubed up
and in the fridge. They say it tastes like watermelon. We'll see.

It tastes like watermelon because it _is_ a watermelon.

Watermelon comes in red, pink, yellow, orange, and white.

Thanks for the tip! I tasted a very mild difference between it and red.
Cold watermelon cubes are excellent on a hot day.
Oh, and I understand! Judging one watermelon's taste to another requires
    more than two samples. ;)
