• Supper tonight.

From Mike Duffy@21:1/5 to All on Tue Jun 3 22:13:49 2025
    Salad made from:

1 cup white cabbage. (Inside a 'green' head),
1/2 cup yellow carrot (NOT parsnip),
Chicken from a frozen Costco precooked 'burger'
with breading removed after heating enough,
half an avocado, half a banana, small cucumber,
    half a yellow bell.

    Sauce made with ~30 ml (2 table-spoons)
caramalized onion jam, ~15 ml (table-spoon)
each turmeric paste, dill weed paste,
    maple syrup, honey, 'baby' mustard,
7 ml (tea-spoon) each malt vinegar,
black pepper, ginger powder, fenugreek powder.

It was okay. I forgot I wanted to add pistachio
butter due to the banana; maybe next time.
Could do with a touch of hot sauce as well.

Are all these measurements in imperial, or US or Asian?

Your recipe is imprecise and very difficult to interpret. That's very
    unlike you.

Are you well? I can refer you to accepted standards in measurements.

I would describe Mike's confection as "Salade Hawaïenne à la Unca

Yes, and especially popular with north american police officers.

It's as common as pickle-ball here.

I used to steam broccoli but boiling is just easier and faster. I like
to dump the broccoli in ice water to cool it down.

eons ago, like a couple decades, my wife had ordered garlic
butter pork chops at a Bob Evan's restaurant. she instantly fell
in love with them and they became a regular thing at home.

ideally they are grilled, or broiled, and topped with home made
garlic butter when done and stilling piping hot. that, we make
by softening a stick of butter, adding minced fresh garlic to
taste, mash together, and let sit in the fridge for at least a
couple weeks to get happy. there's always a tub of garlic butter
    in the fridge.

    yum.
