• Foods not to east over 60

From Ed P@21:1/5 to All on Sun Jun 1 19:51:51 2025
I've seen some dumb articles, this is one of the dumbest. Some of the
foods listed I don't care for an never eat. A few, I eat frequently and
will continue to do so and I'm well past 60.

I eat everything on this list with the exception of raw
eggs, margarine, and 2 or 3 other things. Things like
toaster pastries I get a hankering for about every
other year, so I don't think that rare indulgent is
    going to kill me.

I'm surprised this article wasn't written by "Eat This,
Not This!" They are of the opinion one should consume
    nothing but lettuce and water.

It also lists margarine as bad but suggests butter instead. Rather contradictory.

Margarine, rich in trans and saturated fats, adversely affects
cholesterol, raising the bad and lowering the good. Opting for healthier
oils or real butter is a smarter dietary choice.

    #7: Butter
Butter consumption should be moderated, particularly as we age. It’s delicious on toast or pasta, but can significantly elevate cholesterol
and heighten heart disease risk if indulged in too frequently

The article is not very important. The important part is to get you to

Chinese roast pork. I also got some spicy eggplant. It was just so-so. I

On the rare occasion I have bread with dinner, olive oil is good.

Genetics. Your problem might not be mine and vice versa.

That's it. I know someone who was recommended by her doctor to consume
    more full fat dairy.

The covid lockdown opened my eyes. If you need, for instance, medication to >survive, one slightly larger disruption means you ain't getting it and >goodbye.

Did anybody where you live not get enough of their medication in time
during covid? I even got enough wine and cat food in time.

How did we live this long?

One person can smoke all their life or eat red meat all their life and
the other person with the same lifestyle doesn't make it to 60.

Right now, our area is under extreme fire
danger! My olfactory sense is in maximum overdrive.
Extreme danger is what our taxpayer funded, government driven, useless >"scientific" studies have led to. I can't believe how much taxpayer

Can't they give you pills for your paranoia? Or are you too paranoid

I note the article originally appeared on lizanest.com:

"At LizaNest, we are dedicated to bringing you helpful tips, tricks, and information about fashion, beauty, style, lifestyle, and celebrities.

    Yes:

"In most countries, especially in places like Australia, the U.S.,
Canada, and much of Europe, trans fats have been largely removed from
    margarine due to health regulations.

Most brands now use fully hydrogenated oils (which don't form trans
fats) or non-hydrogenated oils (like sunflower, canola, or olive)."

What I don't like is that Australian producers aren't obliged to
mention amounts of transfats in their products "because they hardly
use any transfats anyway". That's bullshit. As long as it's legally
allowed to add transfats -which it is in Australia- producers will
happily make an extra cent at the expense of people's health.
