• Surgery and lots of fun here (NOT!)

From Carol@21:1/5 to All on Sun May 18 04:12:12 2025
Don had his 2nd surgery for his hernia situation. This one has to last
as they can't do another. It was a complicated one and took 3 Doctors.

He came through fine but obviously had to stay overnight. Age and
    complexity caused that.

He had a Liquid diet for 3 days and no appetite to eat much of that.
He's on the improving side now but nerves and health had us both lose
too much weight and technically we are both 'underweight' just now, but
    gaining it back.

I'll try to check in if any concerned want to know what is going on.

Wow! Twice in one day. Give Don my best, and here's praying for a quick
    and full recovery.

Sorry, I title searched a bit but didn't see anything. So someone else
had hernia surgery? Hope they feel better than Don!

No, Graham is in the hospital with heart problems.

Sorry to hear about Don. Take care.

I figured that was it, Hope Graham is well soon!

Don's this side of the green which is the best! Today he's getting Egg
drop soup (small tea cup) and some crackers with chicken salad again
    for dinner.

Tommorrow proably a sort of stir fry with imitation crab and mushrooms
on rice. Basically not worried on balanced diet for this short period,
simply getting easy to digest foods in him. Doc said his intestines
will be 'bruised' for a few days more.

Thanks! So far, slow but sure.

    Dinner tonight:

The 'Egg Flower Soup' mix (Made by Kikkoman) is a good one for him.
It's high in sodium but kept to just 1/2 cup (his usual for such) it's workable. Charlotte brought it home from Asian American to try. Quite
    tastey!

She also picked up some Katsui sauce for me.
