I like the flavoured kefir. It is sort of like a milkshake. Despite my

There's not much lactose in kefir dave.

Some is damn near lactose free.

I only had the plain stuff once and it was a little to sharp tasting for
me. When I first started getting the stuff it came in a container sort
of like a yogurt tub with a domed foil cover because of the gas from the fermentation. Now it comes in square sided jugs and there is no
pressure. Apparently it is easy to make. You just have to add some
kefir crystals to some milk and let it sit for 12 hours or so. Then
strain out the crystals and they can be used again.

My guts don't care for lactose too. I'll drink kefir as a probiotic. It repopulates the Lactobacillus colony in my guts and allows me to partake
in milk products without ill effects. This effect will last for a couple
    of days.

As it goes, most people have no idea what probiotics are for. This has
been the case since the 60's with the introduction of Acidophilus milk.
The people that sold this product wouldn't say what drinking it would
actually do - prevent diarrhea caused by drinking milk.

I just take a probiotic capsule daily, but I have no

From what I read, that's the English way. And, also from what I read,
Americans pronounce it the same as Kiefer (Sutherland).

    You're confused. A choo-moose is a Canadian animal.

You want to be careful with that one, especially if you are talking with someone with South African connections. It is an extremely offensive pejorative for black people.
