    I was being glib. I won't speculate about the golden age of porn any
    more that the golden age of popular music or the golden age of film. It
    would be an interesting analysis though. There's the changing mores of
    America during the postwar era as well as during the Vietnam war era.
    The switch from film to videotape. The availability of consumer VCRs,
    hand held camcorders, DVDs, etc., etc., etc.

    When I was going to college, it was quite acceptable to screen porno
    films on campus - just like any other art/classic films. Things have
    changed a lot since then. My guess is that in the future, it will be
    robots providing for the need of human companionship and other things -
    making real human companionship less important or even unnecessary.

    When would you say was "the golden age of porn"? I'd say the mid to late 1980s, because it wasn't until then that production quality became good. The early Nikki Charm movies were spectacular.
