    Further to my note I can't even find an on/off switch and the blade does not move when I plug it in, before I turf it, I'm just wondering if there is a trick to this. It looks as though it were hardly used.

    I sell parts and have PDF manuals for some Rival slicers; but, I am not familiar with this one. Is this one of the metal framed models (siimilar to 1101 and 1030) or is it plastic framed (like the 104x series)? I you could post a photo, either here or a link here to tinypic or similar, I might be
    able to help, based upon familiarity with other models.
