I have a request for those out there who know anything about Friesians.
I think they are spectacular and would love to own one. The price tag
seems to be a big obstacle (big obstacle!). I recently got a list of
horses for sale from Dark Horse Farms in Oregon. Their Friesians range
from $8,000 (yearling) to $20,000 (broodmare). I'm wondering if this is
the norm. I have written to the Fries. Assn. of NA for their package of info, haven't rec'd it yet. Do people out there know of other sources for these horses. They are used in certain circuses, I'm wondering where
they buy their horses from and if they ever sell.

Stud colts are easier to get going into winter when they haven't sold. you might get a little break but the top choices will be gone. I sent out messages asking for the "blue light special" and ended up with 2 for under $10k I had a lot of deals in
the works too.....colts going into winter is your best bet.
