    Unlike other abandonees this one won't cost us much for feed and vet
    care, though. Looks sound, but *very* stiff. Doesn't lead.

    Despite all the bad things people say about Shetland ponies, I find them
    some of the most lovable of all equines. And they're not just for
    children. I'm elderly and retired, and my Shetlands are my best friends.
    Even my stallion is as gentle as they come! I also have some large
    riding horses, and I love them too, but I have a special bond with the Shetlands.

    I've seen them around. Seems they must come bare, and people paint them. Someone has one nearby and it's a very colorful red-white "Paint horse".
    The others I've seen are mostly solid colored.

    Now I know why you said it's stiff.
    I thought that was an "odd" comment. :)

    I have a life size BUTTERSCOTCH pony. Those were the furry toys made by
    Hasbro some years ago. They are robotic and are quite amazing.

    Just be glad the pony didn't bite. A bite from a Portland could do a lot
    of damage.... Those teeth are hard as rock. :)

    Seen those. Too cute. Cute enough to need a warning, even - Something
