This is a article verifying my insight. Explaining how a
drug can screw up insect brains as well as human brains.
I don't know if William Burroughs had the same insight
but in his first novel "Junkie" his wife-killing hero is an
exterminator spreading insecticide when he is not getting high or
running off to Mexico for the drugs he likes. He continued to
use insect metaphors in his main series of SF books that
started with "A Naked Lunch".
