    Doug - this is because SOME surveyors are very close with SOME brokers. Some brokers have a "go to" surveyor that they use/recommend (eps for out of town purchases). The surveyor knows the broker is helping them get business and wants to maintain that
    relationship.

    So while, most people are honest, a conflict of interest can develop.
