ISTM there is one other rather relevant factor that wasn't accounted for
as well - load on the bar. There was no mention of how much weight the
rider was placing on the bar on each test. It's likely it was rather
similar, but even a small variation in the weight on the bar may have
had a significant effect on any resonances.

    so

"Was it perfect science? No. Was it nerdy, illuminating, and deeply
satisfying to test product claims with actual data? Absolutely."

Interesting (sorta) that they could at least detect a difference. The new Gravel bike is Revolt though frameset which I’m getting built up, as I’m moving or rather the bike shop the groupset and wheelset from one frame to another.

Comes with a their D-fuse seat post and decided that was worth getting the
Ali D-fuse bar/stem the cost jump to carbon didn’t though make sense vs any improvements in compliance.

Be interesting to see how much I can tell noting that the new Gravel bike
will have a much larger tyre clearance while I’m not maxing the tyre clearances 50mm vs 35mm will more than double the tyre volume.

Clearly will still be rattling on some areas, even the full squish MTB get rattled about in some places, and while I’m younger than most on here, I do remember 90’s MTB with similar ish volumes, as 26in 2.1 tyres are more or less same volume.

But be interesting what I will be able to detect and which bit as you were!

not surprising. We've used accelerometers for our own vibration testing
with exceptional resolution and sensitivity. Id suggest the they're far
more senstive than your average human such that quantifiable results are
well below what you or I could detect.

Post some pictures after it's finished! Preferable after a soggy gravel
ride! You might want to block tommy before you do that though - he won't
    have anything nice to say.

I’d assume that it’s carbon (mostly) will trigger him somewhat!

And yes I will still a few weeks off though!
