• not many bicyclists on the Suncoast today

....although there was quite a few e-bikers. 90 degree temperatures
with high humidity doesn't seem to bother them when they have a 17/18+
MPH breeze generated by their electric bike's speed. That's especially
good when they're only pedaling at 25 RPM or less.

A pair of chublets flagged me down and asked how far they had to go
before the trail got "pretty." I told them it was prettier with lots
of hills north of highway 50... which was about twenty miles away.
They didn't think their batteries would last that long.

Catrike I like the heat so generally no problems for me. The issue
though can be the sun. The sun beating down on you is dangerous from a
skin condition and it adds to the stress. Humidity really is not too bad
as long as you go at the liquids and keep the electrolytes up taking in >something sweet/salty.

For me in Illinois going early is great and while it is humid not a bad
ride at all. To me the worst ride I can do is a hot, hot, windy day. I
would rather ride at 25 degrees in the winter. A hot wind is just >that....nothing worse. I think in Florida you probably do not get the >constant wind of the midwest except along coast.

Speaking of FLorida and my recent trip to see my son in Tampa. I don't
think he wants to be at least around where is now for long time. Not
sure if he will stay in Florida beyond maybe a year or two might depend
on if he finds so lady he cannot live without.

In the mean time if I move there because my son stays I am going move
the the Ocala area I like that and seems a better chance with storms.
House seem more reasonable. What do you think of Ocala.

I don't know much about Ocala, but it is probably less prone to
hurricane damage. If you live there, don't choose anything in low
lying areas because Ocala does have some flooding issues.
